Curtis Lancaster

Curtis B. Lancaster, Sr., 64, of Holland, Ohio, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born January 6, 1952 in Sylvania, Ohio to Curtis and Virginia Lancaster. Curtis married Rena J. Siler on December 20, 1970 in Holland. Curtis proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He later worked for over 30 years at Jeep as a painter until retiring in 2003. Curtis also worked in landscaping. Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing and hosting family events. He was a jack of all trades and loved to tinker. Curtis was active with the Spencer Township Fire Department as an EMT and Firefighter and he also served as a township trustee. Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Rena J. Lancaster; children, Dawn (Steve) Sullivan and Curtis B. Lancaster, Jr.; grandchildren, Stephen (Alexis) Sullivan, Jonathon Fitzsimmons, Mason Sullivan, Emma Sullivan and Curtis B. Lancaster, III; great grandchildren, Easton and Gunnar Sullivan and siblings, Gary (Linda) Lancaster, Sr., Bill Lancaster, Larry Smith, Jr., Mark (Debbie) Smith, Randy (Laura) Smith, Veo Rice and Terri Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Lancaster and Virginia Smith; adoptive parents whom he grew up with, Earl and Aldona Aaker and brother, Edward Lancaster. Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 2:00 to 9:00 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879). Funeral services, including Military and Fireman’s Last Call will begin at 3:00 P.M. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Heart and Vascular Services.
