Culvur W. Knollman

Cal Culvur Knollman, 78, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2011. Cal received his education at Defiance College, University of Toledo, Ohio Northern University and Ohio Wesleyan University. He majored in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and a minor in German. Cal taught school in Florida, O., Pettisville, Archbold, Holgate and Lakota school districts. After teaching Cal became chief chemist at U. S. Gypsm Co. in Genoa, Ohio, heading up the testing lab at the plant. In 1966 Cal and his wife became owners of Dons Carry Out in South Toledo and later owned the Wooden Gate Restaurant in Waterville, Ohio. He is survived by his wife Marie Lange; son, John Marcia Knollman and daughter, Katrina Brueshaber; grandchildren; Angela Barry Bowen, Andrew Heather Knollman, Amanda Knollman, Michele Mike Nowaczyk, Jacob Christy Brueshaber, Kristy Jason Engel and 9 great-grandchildren. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, December 14, 2011 from 2-9 PM at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Oak Bend Church, 11275 Eckel Junction Road, Perrysburg, Ohio at 11:00 AM.
