Craig J. Dunn

August 14, 1955 — March 6, 2013

Craig J. Dunn, 57, of Genoa, Ohio, died late Wednesday evening, March 6, 2013, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. He was born August 14, 1955, to George H. and Maxine M. Freimark Dunn. On December 12, 1980, in Genoa, he married Karen Brown and she survives. He was a 1973 graduate of Genoa High School and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Genoa. Craig was self-employed as a carpenter for many years. He loved his life in Genoa and was often affectionately referred by his friends as governor of Genoa. Craig was a family man, who loved his wife and kids and adored his grandchildren. He had many friends that were a big part of his life. He was a man of integrity and fairness and treated everyone in that manner in everything he did. He gave much time and talent to others. He coached and served as past president of Genoa Little League, as well as helping with other offices, and was now watching his grandchildren play. He served on the Zoning Board of Appeals until his health kept him from attending. Craig was a dedicated hunter, especially deer hunting in Pennsylvania, which he referred to as a Gods Country. He enjoyed camping in his motor home and going to the casinos with his family and friends. Craig packed more into his 57 years than most do in 100! In addition to his wife, Karen, Craig is survived by his mother, Maxine Dunn, daughter, Angie Matthew Bradfield, sons, Brian April Huston, Matthew Dewey Lisa Dunn, and Andrew Erin Dunn, ten grandchildren, Matthew, Josiah, Jacob, Hannah, Grace and Nehemiah Bradfield, Jonathan and James Huston, and Gabrielle and Colton Dunn, and two more grandsons expected this summer. He is also survived by his brothers, Randy Debbie Dunn and Allan Michelle Dunn and father-in-law, Ken Thelma Brown. His father, brother, Kevin Dunn, and mother-in-law, Doris Brown, preceded him in death. Visitation for Craig will be 2-8 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2013, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2013, in St. Johns United Church of Christ, 1213 Washington St., Genoa, with burial to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorials for Craig be directed to the ALS Association in honor of his longtime friend, Tim Brooks, Northern Ohio Chapter, 6155 Rockside Rd. Suite 403, Independence, OH 44131; or Genoa Little League, c/o Lee Nissen, President.
