COURTNEY MARIE MYERS Courtney Myers, age 20, of Holland, passed away on August 14, 2014 in Lexington, Kentucky, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Courtney was born in Toledo on May 16, 1994 to Bruce & Stacie (Sponseller) Myers. A 2012 graduate of Springfield High School, Courtney was a Junior attending the University of Kentucky School of Nursing. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Courtney not only enjoyed being with her friends, but was an avid country music fan, had a deep love for animals, the outdoor life and also enjoyed playing volleyball for Springfield High School. Surviving are her loving parents, Bruce & Stacie; brother, Brandon Myers; sister, Erica Myers; grandparents, Bob & Sue Sponseller and Julie Fortner; great grandmother, Martha Kagy; aunts & uncles, Mike & Kim Sponseller; Paul & Sheri Myers; Dan & Amy Traxler; Lee & Anne Luzader; Matthew Myers; Don & Julie Fortner; Dave & Rebecca Fortner; loving boyfriend, Kody Weiss; special friends, Samantha; Katie; Emily; Erin. The family would like to give a special thanks to their very close friends for all their love and support. She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Russell “Gene” Myers and grandfather, Don Fortner. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 3-8 pm Monday, August 18, 2014. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 with prayers being recited at 9:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo with Fr. Adam Hertzfeld, officiating. Burial will follow at Springfield Township Cemetery.
