Corinne R. Wood

Corinne R. Wood, 84, of Oak Harbor, OH died peacefully Sunday, December 6, 2009 surrounded by her family at the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, OH. She was born on February 16, 1925 in Oak Harbor to Carl and Della Meyer Meyer. On June 27, 1947 at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor she married Kenneth A. Wood, and he survives. Corinne lived with Multiple Sclerosis for about 40 years. She had worked as a homemaker and was a member of Shoreline Church, Oak Harbor. She enjoyed dancing in her earlier years and she enjoyed sending cards to people as a ministry to her church. Corinne was especially dedicated to her grandchildren and their activities. In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth, she is survived by daughter: Linda Hoy of Clyde, son: John Sandra Wood of Graytown, son: Richard Mary Wood of Graytown, daughter: Crystal Gary Lipstraw of Oak Harbor, sister: Grace Bookenberger of Millbury, brother: Richard Mary Lou Meyer of Oak Harbor, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Lila Brackett, and granddaughter: Tina Reau. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2009 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor with Pastor Steve Fish officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
