Corene L. Druschel

Corene Lou Druschel age 86 of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018 at Swanton Healthcare and Retirement Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, OH to Irving and Violet (Geiser) Klostermeier on March 4, 1932. Corene married the love of her life, Donald R. Druschel on September 21, 1952 in Ft. Wayne, IN. They were married 60 years until Dons passing in 2012. Corene was once employed at Sanitary Cleaners and then became a stay at home mom to raise her family. She later went back to work at Elizabeth Scott Care Center. In retirement, Corene and her husband Don purchased a mobile home on Marble Lake in Quincy MI. where they spent many years with family and friends. They enjoyed boating, fishing and sitting around campfires. Corene was a member of Providence Lutheran Church and the Spring Valley Saddle Club. Surviving are her children, Cindy (Charles Crowder) Newman and Michael Druschel; grandchildren, Joshua Newman, Jessica (James) Betancourt and Stephanie (James) Buck. Great-grandchildren, Logan, Tristan, Jera, Taven, Shondalyn, Avery, Jamie and sister, Janice Rudnicki. In addition to her parents and husband, Corene was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Gerald and Donald; sisters, Garnett and twin sister, Irvine. Friends and Family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of services at 3:00 PM.
