On August 03, 2017, a beautiful daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend, left this world unexpectedly, as the result of an auto accident. Cora Jacalyn May Roob, 19, was a bright, talented, gifted, artistic, musical, young woman. At Oak Harbor High School, she was the lead in two of the Thespian Club productions, and was an active member in the choir. She played basketball and softball for Oak Harbor. Cora’s smile was infectious. She was a caring and giving person who always had a hug for everyone. She loved music and singing and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her brother, Cole. Cora recently started working at Bay Point Resort in Lakeside-Marblehead and loved her job and fellow employees. Prior to Bay Point Resort, she worked at BW3, Fremont, OH and Bassett’s IGA, Catawba Island. Cora had plans to begin college in the fall, working toward research in Medicine. She was known as a “Grammar Nazi” to her family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing Euchre and Progressive Rummy with Great-Grandma Banky and family. Those left to cherish her memory are: Mother: Carrie Roob; Father: Michael Roob; Brother: Cole James William Roob; Half Brother: Tony (Shawnna) Roob; Half Sister: Lea-Ann (Dion) Wilson; Maternal Grandmother: Bonnie (F.Jim) Adkins; Maternal Great-Grandmother: Dorothy Banky; Great-Grandma: Dolores J. Cora was a beautiful, free spirited soul, and Heaven is a little more fun with its newest angel. Cora gave in death, as she gave in life, as she was an organ/tissue donor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. Cora, “Love you, Mean it!”
