Cora Edna Blevins

Cora E. “Edna” Blevins, 81, formerly of Millbury, passed away peacefully with family, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s, on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the Genoa Care Center. Edna was born on July 4, 1935 to William and Myrtle (Hall) Baldwin in Ashland, KY. She married Lowell E. Blevins in Ashland on June 13, 1953 and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was as a Factory Worker for the Dial Company for over 18 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Homemakers Club in Webbville, KY., and volunteered for Fire Department fundraisers in Webbville. Edna loved Christmas and enjoyed painting many Santa folk art pieces. In addition to Christmas, her greatest love was her family. Edna was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Lowell. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Tina (Albert) Preston, Jill (Thomas) Glander, and Sonny (Naomi) Blevins; grandsons, Al (Alyssa) Preston, Bob (Beatrice) Preston and Jeremiah Glander; four great-grandchildren; sister, Mildred Fry; and special niece and nephew, Jerry (Janita) Groce, and Judy Ann Giles. Friends will be received at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 12:00 PM. until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, OH.
