Constance “Connie” J. Labuzinski, 80, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the University of Toledo Medical Center, one day after her 80th birthday. She was born at Ft. Riley, Kansas on June 12, 1943, the daughter of Melvin and Stella (Jankowski) Adamski. Their family moved to Toledo and Connie graduated from Whitmer High school in 1962. She met Raymond “Ray” Labuzinski and in February of 1963 they were married in Toledo.
Connie was a loving homemaker who loved decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She was known for her delicious pies, and Polish coffee cakes and deserts; everyone always looked forward to! She was a great volunteer, always helping with Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church festivals. Connie also enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, playing cards, and going to the casino. She played Bunco with the same group of ladies for over 50 years and looked forward to her monthly lunches with the 1962 graduates of Whitmer High School. Connie was a lover of animals and had many pets over the years.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Ray, sons, Joseph and Randall Labuzinski, sister, Lori Gasser and special daughter, Roni Thielen. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Joyce McCain and brother, Roger Bugaj.
A Funeral Mass will be scheduled and announced in the future. The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to an animal rescue or shelter of the donor’s choice. The Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossford, Ohio, is assisting with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with Connie’s family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
