Connie L. Sattler, 73, of Toledo, Ohio, peacefully passed on October 10, 2026 after a long journey with Parkinsons Disease.
Connie was born October 2, 1953 in Beaufort, South Carolina to Stanley and Florence (Bright) Sattler. After graduating from Riverdale High School, Connie went on to receive her Nursing degree from Providence Hospital School of Nursing. Connie dedicated 40+ years as a nurse in the Mercy health system and then retired from Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. Many might say she was the best nurse ever!
Connie formed many valuable friendships during her life. She was honest and sincere, dependable, kind, smart, and loving.
The most important and rewarding parts of her life were her children and grandchildren. Connie made it her life mission to ensure that they knew just how much they were loved and would do anything for them. Any time she spoke to or saw Sterling and Pierce, pure joy lit up her face.
Connie could not get enough of cleaning or organizing! The pleasure she gained from helping her friends and family keep their lives organized and clean is unmatched (well maybe by Erica- her protégé).
Connie is survived by her daughter, Erica Krichbaum and son, Lee Krichbaum (Shawn King); grandchildren, Sterling & Pierce, brothers & sisters Stephen (Elaine) Sattler, David Sattler, Stanley Joseph (Martha), Susan (Jim) Wolf, and Mary Jane Thomas, along with 12 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley & Florence Sattler, brother Timothy Sattler, and sister-in-law Terri Sattler.
The family would like to give their appreciation to the staff at Elizabeth Scott Community for making her part of their family. In addition, without the assistance of the Patient Advocate Foundation/Total Assist, Connie would not have been able to afford the medication she needed to treat her Parkinsons. If you would like to help others in her position, please do so by donating to the foundation at www.panfoundation.org/ways-to-give/.
