Connie M. Engel

Connie M. Engel, 71, of Perrysburg, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Connie was born August 18, 1947 in Tiffin, OH to Harry and Hazel (Simpson) Lewis. She graduated from Hopewell-Loudon High School in Bascom, OH and earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Tiffin University. Connie married Leonard Engel on March 12, 1975 in Toledo, Ohio. Connie loved spending time with her family, going on many vacations together, and never missing any of her grandchildren’s extra-curricular activities, no matter how far she had to drive. She loved walking the metro parks, enjoyed photography focused on her grandchildren, gathering with friends and hosting her annual 4th of July party. She was always on the go and up for any adventure. Connie was also a member of the Women’s Investment Club, Wizards of Wall Street. She enjoyed reading and had a thirst for knowledge. Along with her husband, Leonard, she is survived by her daughters, Laura (Chad) Keller of Perrysburg and Lynn Colman of Dayton, and grandchildren, Ben and Will Keller and Natalie and Mikayla Colman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received Monday, August 27, 2018 from 3-8 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Chuck Campbell, officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made, in Connie’s name, to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or The Victory Center.
