Cloine Jeanette Skelding

Cloine Jeanette Skelding, 100, of Walbridge, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022. She was born February 5, 1921, in Toledo to the late Wynnfield and Mary (Bowes) Myers.

Cloine was a graduate of Woodward High School and began her career working clerical positions at St. Regis Paper Co. and Yarder Manufacturing. She went on to marry the love of her life, Matt Skelding, and together they raised three children and were inseparable up until his passing in 2007.

Above all career accomplishments, Cloine was most proud of being a wife and homemaker who was an avid reader, loved to sew, and was an excellent cook. She strove to ensure that her family’s needs were always provided for, exuding great patience at times. She was very lady-like, caring, and was a concerned individual whose natural inclination was to put everyone before herself. Seizing every moment to be kind, fun-loving, and humorous to all, Cloine will be profoundly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Diane) Skelding, Tom Skelding, Sue Volschow; seven grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.
