Clint M. Mcbee

Clint M. McBee, age 81, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at home. After graduating from Thomas A. DeVilbiss High School in 1960 he enlisted in the United States Army. He was a Military Police Honor Guard for President John F. Kennedy from 1960 to 1963 and also the advanced team when the President was traveling (helicopter duty). He joined the Toledo Police Department in 1964 retiring in 1980 as a detective in the Moral's and Narcotics' Squad. He graduated from the University of Toledo and then its Law School with a JD in 1979. He practiced law from 1979 until his retirement in 2019.

He was a member of the Toledo, Lucas County and Ohio State Bar Associations, a 32 degree Mason with the Barton Smith Lodge and a former member of the Toledo Club.

Clint loved his poodles even taking Precious, a toy, with him to the office for many years.

He and his wife were season ticket holders for the University of Toledo Rockets for basketball and football games. Clint enjoyed family travel to Mexico and Florida.

Clint is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ottis Bratcher; father, Clint A. McBee; mother, Georgia Clark; brother, Rudy McBee; sister, Donna Pierce; and infant daughter, Lisa McBee. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Rose) McBee; children, Clint T. (Debbie) McBee, and Laura B. Bigelow; step-children, Tracy (Dean) Rose, and John Jacobs; sister-in-law, June Galvin; nephew, Chris (Betsy) Galvin; niece, Kelly Galvin; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are invited to make a memorial donation to Wounded Warriors, or the University of Toledo Foundation – Athletics.
