Clifford R. Grohowski, age 88, passed away Saturday, April 21 at Bowling Green Care Center. He was born October 17, 1929 in Swanton, Ohio to Robert and Virginia (Hardy) Grohowski. Clifford served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean war from the beginning. He went on to retire from Libbey-Owens-Ford in 1986 after working there over 30 years as a millwright. Cliff was an avid walker, hiking the trails of Oak Openings with two of his brothers. He later became fond of hiking and camping in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. He learned to cross country ski at the age of 60. Cliff also enjoyed many years of Salmon and Walleye fishing with former co-workers. Clifford is survived by his son Mark (Amy) Grohowski, daughter, Julie (Ron) Lynch, brother Larry (Sharon) Grohowski, sister Barbara (Ralph) Hull. Grandchildren Hannah (Mark) Grohowski -Smith, Zachary Grohowski, Shawn Nofziger, Monica Nofziger, Adam Nofziger. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie. Parents, siblings Robert Jr., Leevonia, Evelyn, Edward and Janet. In keeping with Cliffords wishes, there will be no visitation or memorial service. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of NW Ohio. Arrangements by Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee.
