Clayton Hoffman

July 10, 1926 — July 16, 2008

Clayton C. Hoffman, born in Toledo, OH July 10, 1926 passed away at his residence in Orland, IN at the age of 82. He served in WWII in the US Army Infantry. He worked as a Sheet Metal Worker and was a member of Local 6/33 for 60 years. Clayton was a member of the VFW Post #3013. He loved fishing, was an avid gardener and most of all enjoyed being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He married Patricia Steiss in 1952; is survived by his daughters, Laura Doug Mayer, Gloria Gary Haas-Kazmaier, Carol Brad Davis, Barbara Hoffman and son, Bruce Hoffman; six grandchildren, Nichole, Angela, Michael, Susan, Christopher, and Gregory and four great grandchildren; brother, Paul Hoffman and sister, Dorothy Wend. In addition to his parents, Peter and Gertrude Hoffman, Clayton was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Edward and special fishing buddy Mic Haas. Family and friends may visit Monday, July 21, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Parkview, Lagrange, IN. www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
