Clarene R. Gase

Clarene R. Gase, age 99, of Monclova, Ohio passed away Monday, September 12, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital. She was born August 24, 1912 in New Riegel, Ohio to Frank and Mary Elchert Schreiner. Clarene was employed as a LPN for the former Medical College Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1979 and also for Villa West Nursing Home for 7 years. She was the past president of the Home Extension in Monclova, Monclovas Firemans Auxiliary and the 60 and over club at St. Joseph Church, Maumee. The widow of Norman E. Gase, who passed away March 15, 1995; Clarene is survived by her children, Herman Gase, Ruth Teet and Joyce James Momenee; 15 grandchildren; 35 great granchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Clarene was preceded in death by her daughter, Erma Jean Boyd; sister, Genevieve Schreiner and brothers, Earl, Wilford, Marion and Edmund Schreiner. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, September 14, 2011 from 3-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where a Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Church, Maumee.
