Clarence J. Miller (CJ or Sonny), age 86, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Otterbein in Monclova, Ohio. He was born to Clarence and Coletta Miller on December 13, 1927 in Bellevue, Ohio. Clarence attended Lake High School and furthered his education in the Army. He was a Private in the 463rd AAR BU at Geiger Field and worked as a mechanic. Clarence was an Automated Systems Sales Engineer for Abbey Etna Machine Company, who continued as a renowned consultant for rotary swaging industry. He continued to consult for companies around the world well into his 70s. When Clarence wasnt working he enjoyed golfing, traveling, the Arts and Film and was an active member of Westchester and Lamplighter Dance Clubs. He was a loving a father to 14 children, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and the loving partner of Lois Bender for 30 joyous years. Clarence is survived by his children; Sally Purcell (Phil), Kenneth Miller (Cheryl), Karen Zarecki (Fred), Sharon Keller, John Miller, Thomas Miller, Mary Pat Leahy, Michael Miller, Kevin Miller, Sue Bascuk (Jerry), Linda Esker (Dave), Robert Miller, Theresa Miller, Colleen Cramer (Ray); grandchildren; Philip, Gregory, Lucas, Stephen, Ryan, Katrina, Timothy, Kenneth, Michael, Thomas (TJ), Sean, Aaron, Kyle, Amanda, Amber, Chris, Ben, Francis, Sky, Sahara and Gabriel and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Irish); his parents; and siblings; John Miller, James Miller and Patricia Case. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Cathedral, 2535 Collingwood Blvd., Toledo, Ohio on Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Later the same day, friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of his beloved daughter, Theresa, to the Lucas County Special Olympics, 1155 Lark Lane, Toledo, Ohio 43614.
