Clara K. Grinonneau

Clara K. Grinonneau, age 96, of Perrysburg, OH died Tuesday, October 18, 2011. She was born in Maumee, OH on January 18, 1915 to Charles and Mabel Easterwood, the second oldest child in a family of five, four being brothers all who predeceased her. Clara was married for 48 years to husband, Roswell C. Grinonneau who passed away in 1979. Clara attended Union School and then Maumee High School; following graduation, she was employed by The Maumee Color Company, a manufacturer of Easter egg dye and coloring for oleomargarine. Clara and Roswell enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, with their many friends and family. There was always a pot of coffee on the stove, and many times a freshly baked pie. The joy of her life was her family; one son, William Jane Grinonneau of Tucson, AZ; 3 grandsons, Brian partner Betsey Duggan, Lee Roxanne and Todd friend Renee; 6 great grandchildren, Ashley Brian Grinonneau-Denton , Aurora Nate Sutherland, Abigail, Kathryn, Allison, Nancy Myers Grinonneau and Drake and one great-great grandson, Abram Sutherland, all living in the greater Toledo area. Fondly missed and cherished by Clara and all the family is Williams late wife Nancy Lee nee Crane who passed away in 2002. Nancy Myers Grinonneau and Roxanne Grinonneau most frequently accompanied her on errands and outings. The love and support of all the family members were a tremendous help and blessing for Clara. Claras sense of humor and outlook on life was an inspiration to all who met her, with an ability to always see the cup half full. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee , on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 3-8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
