Clara L. Edwards

Clara L. Edwards age 85 of Maumee passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee. Clara was born on February 13, 1923, to Avery R. and Alta M. Slinker Temple. Clara was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Perrysburg. She was an avid reader and Detroit Tigers fan. Her most precious moments were spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Nelson H. Jill Edwards, Laura Steve Mayers, Vivian Smith, and Steve Lydia Edwards; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Helen Vanderhorst and brother, Avery R. Temple, Jr. Clara was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nelson C. Edwards; daughter, Louise Jansen; son-in-law, Tom Smith; her parents; sisters, Ella Mae Walters, Esther Walton and a brother, Frank Temple.
