Clara M Ashe

Clara M. Ashe, of Maumee, died July 31, 2009 after a long illness. Clara was born September 11, 1921 to James E. Ashe and Clara Cramer of Buffalo, New York. Clara was a 1939 graduate of Central Catholic High School as were her siblings. Clara was the Alma de la Casa she and all her siblings have all kept the faith. Clara was preceded in death by brothers, James and Vincent, both graduates of a Jesuit University also by sister, Joan Zuelke, mother of five. Claras great joy was her three acre garden and her winter greenhouse as well as traveling with Aunt Mary Wagner to Mexico, South America and Europe visiting siblings. Family and friends may visit Tuesday, August 4, 2009 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH where a Scripture Service will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am in St. Joseph Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee. The family suggests memorial contributions to EWTN, Claras favorite charity. Words will not convey the loss of Clara to all her nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters.
