Christopher A Sailstad

Cristopher A. Sailstad, age 51, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. He was born December 5, 1965 in New York City to Charles A. and Ruth Ann (Neipp) Sailstad. He was a 1983 graduate of Sylvania Southview High School where he played football. An avid sports fan he followed the University of Michigans football program. Chris was always interested in his sons sporting events and enjoyed coaching his son in baseball and football. He loved life and will be deeply missed. Preceded in death by his father, he is survived by his daughter, Tanya Sailstad; son, Christopher Jr.; mother, Ruth Ann Sailstad; brother, Curtis Sailstad; sister, Cynthia Sailstad-Cornish; aunt, Mary Knemeyer; uncle, Morton Neipp, Jr.; niece, Kristin Cornish; nephew, Jack Cornish and cousins, Karen Knemeyer, Dirk Knemeyer, Chad Neipp, Shelly Goatley and Andrea Beilstein. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorials to St. Michaels in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4718 Brittany Rd., Ottawa Hills, OH 43615.
