Christopher P Poignon

Christopher P. Poignon, age 53, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Fremont, Ohio on April 19, 1962 to Paul and Jacqueline (Fisher) Poignon. Chris was a graduate of Lake High School and a former member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Chris served as a cook in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved the outdoors. While a resident of Oregon, Ohio, Chris spent and enjoyed many hours of volunteer work as a groundskeeper at Our Lady of Toledo Shrine. He is survived by his father, Paul (Janet) Poignon; sister, Michelle (Keith) Overholt; niece, Stephanie Bidwell; great niece, Madison Bidwell as well as his special friend and companion Tina Hartranft. Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Jacqueline; brother, Paul R. Poignon, Jr. and his sister, Denise Nichols. Funeral services and burial were held privately.
