Christopher B. Lance

Chris Lance passed away surrounded by his loving parents on November 28, 2022, at the age of 47. Born to Cecil and Pat ((Matthews) Lance in Hendersonville, North Carolina, Chris brought humor and wit to everyone around him. He graduated from Hendersonville High School in 1994 and went on to take a few college classes. He was frequently the class clown and would sometimes be in trouble for his joking personality.

Loyal and funny are how his friends would describe Chris. He would often recite facts and trivia about Country Music as he was a huge fan. He also loved the Carolina Panthers. You could hear him yelling at his team from his chair on any given game day.

Chris loved to eat just about anything except turnips. He thoroughly enjoyed any casserole his Mom dished out, and a run to Taco Bell was always his favorite fast-food choice.

He and his Dad made every attempt to go deer hunting together. Even though that was not possible, Chris was always there in spirit and was the first to question his Dad on his return home about his hunting success.

He will be missed for his huge hugs and his “I love you” declarations. His Mom and Dad knew this day would come, but they were never prepared to say good-bye so soon.

Chris’s memory will be cherished in the hearts of his parents Cecil and Pat; stepbrothers Kenneth (Kim), Jeff (Olivia); nephews Ethan, Evan, Ian, Zachary; Uncle Mike; girlfriend Sherry; and his beloved dog, Duke.

To honor Chris’s wishes, he will be cremated and inurnment will be private.
