Christopher George Ghareeb

Christopher George Ghareeb, age 17, of Temperance, died February 9, 2021 at The Toledo Hospital. He was born February 18, 2003 at Flower Hospital. Christopher was a homeschool, high school senior at “St. Gabriel Academy” and a faithful member of St. George Orthodox Cathedral. Competitive by nature, he enjoyed playing board games and pick-up neighborhood ball games. He was very bright, loved a good debate and was a skilled writer, particularly in the use of metaphors. Christopher had a generous heart, loved life and was active with the Foundation for Life SEAL Team. He will also be remembered for his keen sense of humor, profound ability to forgive and, most important to him, as a good friend. He is survived by his devoted parents, George and Vicki Ghareeb; beloved siblings, Nicholas (Jocelynn Cannon), Elizabeth, Andrew, Anna, Emmelia, Gregory and Mariana; grandparents, James and Carol Gerdeman and Michael and Gayle Ghareeb; nephew, Brantley; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at St. George Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Rd., Toledo, OH 43606, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Trisagion Prayers at 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive visitors on Wednesday from 10:00 until the time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. The funeral can be viewed via livestream by visiting the Walker Family Funeral Homes, Toledo, Facebook page. Burial will follow at Bedford Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Facial coverings and social distancing are required at all events.
