Christine Taylor

Christine Ann (Conrad) Taylor, PhD, was born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 9, 1947. She grew up in Maumee, Ohio, and graduated from Maumee High School, in June of 1966. She completed Mercy School of Nursing, in 1969, after which she married her high school sweetheart, Jay C. Taylor. After following Jay’s enlistment in the U.S. Navy, she went back to school and earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD, from the University of Toledo. Her working career included stints with Mercy Family Practice, where she consulted on education interests of faculty, Medical College of Ohio, and Cleveland Clinic Learner College of Medicine, as Director of Faculty development.

Throughout her entire life of education and extensive career choices, Chris’ biggest and most proud accomplishment in life was being a wife, mother to her sons, and amazing grandmother. Chris was able to raise two wonderful sons, Adam Jeremy (Patty) Taylor, and Ryan Lawrence (Erin) Taylor. Her sons added to the Taylor clan with children of their own, Connor J. Taylor, Hailey M. Taylor, Lauren O. Taylor, Abigail G. Taylor, Sydney E. Taylor, Draven W. Dean, and Kinlea AJ. Dean. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jacqueline S. Taylor, and Janet R. (Alex) Monteith; brothers-in-law, John R. (Roxane) Taylor, and Gene Parker, and many nieces and nephews. Chris is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lawrence, and Jackie Conrad; her sister and brother-in-law, Lynne, and Jack Weis; mother and father-in-law, Dr. Frank W., and Martha C. Taylor; sisters-in-law, Joette M. Parker, and Kathy Taylor: Brother-in-law James W. Taylor.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on January 7, 2023, from 12:00-3:00PM, at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio.
