Christine L Mabrey

Christine L Mabrey, age 46, of Maumee, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, with her family by her side after a courageous battle with illness. She was born at a US Naval Base in Tapei, Taiwan in 1969, and graduated from Maumee High School in 1987 and Miami University in 1991. After graduation she started her 25 year career at Ernst and Young. Chris was an avid photographer who was always open for new adventures. She traveled the world with her family, visiting many gardens along the way. She enjoyed books, was instrumental in creating the Maumee Friends Reading Garden at the Maumee branch library and was a former president of the Maumee Friends of the Library. Since childhood, Chris was an enthusiastic fan of the Detroit Tigers just like her Dad. Chris was an avid shopper especially buying things for her favorite niece. Chris will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Chris is survived by her mother, Shwu; brother, Arthur Jr. (Amanda) and niece, Allyse; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and several close friends plus a loving family in Taiwan. She was preceded in death by her father, Art. Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, at the Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street Maumee with services immediately following at 12 noon Graveside services will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
