Christie Sass

Christie L. Sass, 57, of Oregon, Ohio died December 14, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Hospital. She was born Christie Lynn Wagner in Greenville, Ohio on November 7, 1964 to Marsha (Morris) and Charles Wagner. Christie married her sweetheart, Gary Sass Sr. and together they raised their blended family. She was an avid Buckeyes and Steelers fan. She was a member of the Memorial Day Association, Race Across America, AMVETS, and Women’s Auxiliary. Christie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gary Sr; brother, Jimmy Wagner and grandmother, Ruth Struck. She is survived by her children, Gary Jr. (Veronica), Jeshua, Nicole (Tim), Robert and Jessica; special and dear granddaughters, Sara and Haley; 9 other precious grandchildren; mother, Marsha (Roger); father, Charles; siblings, Charles Wagner Jr, Ruth (Jim) Canfield, Kevin (Linda) Wagner, Bryan (Edye) Wagner, Chris (Julie) White, and Wayne (Lori) Wagner; sister-in-law, Sandra Everhart. Christie and Gary always said, “Look to your left, look to your right, this is your family now.” Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio 43616 from 10:00 am-1:00 pm with a funeral service at 1:00 pm.
