Cheryl Sue Goring

Cheryl Sue Goring age 54 of Irvine, California formerly of Toledo passed away Sunday July 20, 2008 at Kingston Care Center, Sylvania under the care of hospice. She was born March 4, 1954 in Toledo to Harry and Alice Estes Jacobs. A 1972 graduate of Whitmer High School, she attended the University of Toledo where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in elementary education and a Masters degree in education. She taught English at Jefferson Junior High School from 1991-1997. Cheryl enjoyed raising her three sons, traveling the world with her husband Peter, and socializing with friends and family. She was preceded in death by an infant sister and grandparents Cornia and Letha Jacobs and Charles and Luella Estes. Cheryl is survived by her husband Peter; sons Derrick, Dean Abbey and Dale Schuler; grandson Preston Schuler; parents Harry and Alice Jacobs; sister Deborah Jim Alexander; niece Nicole Alexander; and nephews Bradford Carrie and Kurtis Alexander. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave west of Corey on Monday from 3-8 PM where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 AM. Interment Whiteford Union Cemetery.
