Chase M. Wilkes

Chase M. Wilkes, 23, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022. He was born on May 3, 1999, to William Wilkes and Rachel Wiltse. Chase graduated from Swanton High School in 2017 and was a talented young man. He was an avid guitar player, especially proud of his Gibson 40th Anniversary Les Paul. He tuned in his skills at a young age at Christ the Word Church where he attended and was extremely active in Youth Group and the band. He had the biggest heart and loved people. Chase was also an outdoorsman, always enjoying fishing and camping with friends and family. He also recently had rediscovered his enthusiasm for BMX racing, a hobby he had at a young age. Above all else, Chase cherished his family and relationships; especially those with his beloved American Bully dogs, Millie and Rilla.

Chase is survived by his beloved mother, Rachel Wiltse; brother, Justyn (Anja) Wilkes; sister, Madelyn Wilkes; paternal grandparents, Robert and Martha Wilkes; maternal grandmother, Eugenia “Jeanie” Wiltse; niece, Marlee Wilkes; many aunts and uncles including Jason and Emily Wiltse who mentored him for years. Numerous cousins including Miles Wiltse; countless friends. He was preceded in death by his father, William Wilkes; and maternal grandfather, Charles G. Wiltse.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 13, 2022, beginning at 11 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623 (419-841-2422), with a Funeral Service taking place at 1 p.m. Chase will be laid to rest following the service at Toledo Memorial Park.
