Charlotte Wagener

Charlotte (Rogers) Wagener, age 91, of Maumee, Ohio passed away on September 14, 2018 in Walnut Creek, California. She was born on August 9, 1927 to Samuel and Emma (Comston) Rogers, Sr. in Delaware, Ohio. Charlotte attended Willis High School in Delaware, OH and Bowling Green State University, where she met her husband, Nick. Charlotte was a member and an officer in Fallen Timbers, Suburban, and Maumee Garden clubs. She was a member of and a volunteer for the Maumee Valley Historical Society, volunteered and served on many committees at St. Josephs Catholic Grade School and McAuley High School, and was a long-time member of the Maumee Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission. Charlotte was employed as the Payroll Director at St. Lukes Hospital for 20 years. Charlotte loved to travel, and after her retirement visited China, Africa, the Galapagos Islands, the Netherlands, went on an Amazon River cruise, and had many other adventures. She loved to cook and garden, all for the enjoyment of her family and friends. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Susan Wagener (Don White) of Grove City, OH; sons Nicholas Wagener of Maumee, OH, and Cliff Wagener (Kathy Hamilton) of Lafayette, CA; grandsons Connor and Keifer Wagener; sister Faye Aston of Katy, TX; brothers-in law Tom (Jacque) Wagener and James Wagener; sisters-in-law Molly Wagener Pfaff and Marge Wagener; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Nick Wagener; her parents; and brothers Samuel Rogers, Jr., Charles Rogers, and Matthew Rogers. Friends and Family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee.
