Charlotte F. (Reinhart) Snell, age 80, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by loving family. She was born June 22, 1944, in Toledo to the late Florian and Dorothy (Shaw) Reinhart.
A 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Charlotte, also known as “Char”, worked as a dental assistant for both Dr. Church and Dr. Paladino for several years. Upon the birth of her first child, she left work and devoted all her time to being a wife and mother. Char was a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was active with the Soup Kitchen, St. Vincent DePaul Society and Daughters of Mary. Always the epitome of selflessness, she was committed to serving others, delivering Meals on Wheels and making every person she encountered feel special. Char was also a relentless competitor, whether on the tennis or pickle ball court or perhaps playing Bridge. She was courteous during the game and even gracious in defeat but gave nothing away – battling with everything she had. Char was uniquely loving, kind, and generous and her comforting presence will be deeply missed.
THE ESSENCE OF LIFE
Some people appear in our life when you need them most. They love you and lift you up, reminding us of the best, even when we’re going through the worst. These people are not just friends, they are “Earth Angels.” Charlotte shared her love, understanding, devotion, kindnesses, unconditional support, and the purity of her heart not just for a day but devoted decades into the future with each friend. More than anyone in our world, she has earned applause and gratitude but would be very uncomfortable accepting the accolades when she cherished her family, friendships and all the precious moments and memories they created together.
A is for always thinking of others.
N is for numerous kind acts.
G is for going above and beyond.
E is for endless devotion.
L is for how much Charlotte is loved.
Left to cherish Char’s memories are her devoted husband of 60 years, Dennis Snell; children, Laura Rosenblatt and Darin (Tami) Snell; grandchildren, Samuel, Anna, Sarah, and Kennedy; brothers, Skip (Judi) Reinhart, Joseph (Marie) Reinhart, Peggy Fazekas, and Mary (Ken) Harrison. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Winkelman.
Family and friends are invited to visit and share Char's story from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024, in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, where a scripture service will be held at 7:15 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6149 Hill Avenue, Toledo.
