Charles Arthur Yohnke, Sr., age 77, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Hospice of Perrysburg. Charlie was born October 11, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio and was a Korean war veteran, who served in the US Air Force. He was a journeyman carpenter for the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Lathers, Local 248 and a private contractor, which he loved. Charlie was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a longtime member of Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. Charlie liked family gatherings and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Belle and son, Charles, Jr. He is survived by sons, Wayne (Kris) and Daniel (Shelly) Yohnke; daughter, Mary (John) Volmar; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) from 11:00 am until the time of service at 3:30 pm.
