Charles H. Resch Jr.

Charles Henry Resch Jr., age 91, passed away on May 6, 2026. He was born on December 29, 1934, and lived a life centered around family, service, hard work, and the traditions he loved most.

Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic and was stationed in Germany during the late 1950s. He often enjoyed sharing stories and memories from his time in the service, and his dedication to helping others remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.

Following his military service, Charles dedicated his career to working as a boiler operator at The University of Toledo, where he worked faithfully for many years before retirement.

He was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes football and could often be found watching the games he loved so much. At home, Fox News was always on television, and a Pepsi was never far away, the little things that became part of the memories his family will forever cherish.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Katherine Resch; his father, Charles H. Resch Sr.; his mother, Beatrice Resch; his son, John Resch; and his sisters, Patt Resch, Jeanne Resch, and Helen Resch.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristina Resch; his granddaughter, Zoe (Savanna) Resch; his grandson, Zach Resch; and his great-grandson, Grayson Krueger, along with many loved ones who will deeply miss him.

A visitation for Charles will take place at Walker Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, followed by a graveside service at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Charles will be remembered for his stories, his dedication to his family, and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
