Charles E. Pargo, Sr., age 72, of Holland, passed away December 6, 2015 at his home. Charles was born March 20, 1943 in Potterville, Missouri to the late Howard and Lena Pargo. In 1961, he married Florence McPike and she lovingly survives. Also left to cherish his memory are his children, Charles Pargo, Jr. of Alabama, Chester Peppy Pargo of Toledo, Renee Thomas of Holland, LaWanda (Eddie) Rivers of Toledo, Vernon Fleming of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Angela (Richard) Smith of Toledo, and Corey (Julie) Pargo of Toledo; sixteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Fleming and his fourteen siblings. Charles began his work career at Toledo Pickling Steel, where he was employed for 15 years. He then owned and operated Pargos Night Club in Swanton for more than 25 years. Charles was a member of Love Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. An avid sports fan, he also enjoyed hunting and was a great pool shooter. He will be remembered for his outgoing and friendly personality, always interested in getting to know a person. Charles also had a terrific sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. His greatest enjoyment was found in the love of his family and especially in spending time with his grandchildren. Services to celebrate his life and home going will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 11, 2015 at Love Baptist Church, 10050 Angola Rd, Swanton, OH 43558 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the Autism Society.
