Charles W. Nuding

Charles William Nuding, 80, of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 16, 1941 in Toledo to his late parents, Clifford and Wilma (Oehlers) Nuding where he was raised alongside his two sisters and brother. He was affectionately known by his family as Charles, Chuck, or Charlie.

Charles attended Rogers High School and graduated in 1960. In 1961, Charles met the love of his life. On December 26, 1963, Charles married Nancy (Roach) Nuding, raising their beautiful child together. Shortly after, Charles began his work at Jeep which went on to spark the start of his 42 year-long career until retiring in 2005.

Charles loved fishing and especially enjoyed taking charter boats out on Lake Erie at Tibbels Marina. At home, he took pride in doing his own yard work and even kept a small garden. He frequently could be found doing puzzles or snacking on a sweet treat whenever he had the chance. He was known as Mr. Fix-it by his family and was always their go-to guy whenever they needed something.

Charles is survived and missed by his loving wife, Nancy; daughter, Lisa (John) Stacy; brother, Craig Nuding; sisters, Carole (Wes) Walters, Cathy Kunz; grandchildren, Betsy and Clifford Stacy. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Fred Kunz; sister-in-law Joyce Nuding.

A visitation will take place on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 3-6 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W Sylvania Avenue, Toledo. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. with internment to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
