Charles Eugene Myers

Charles E. Gene Myers age 83 of Maumee, died Monday March 10, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Mr. Myers was born in Findlay, OH on July 13, 1924 to Elva and Florence Wickman Myers. Gene was employed at Marathon Oil Company for 40 years retiring in 1986. Gene was a WWII Navy veteran and was a member of Conn-Weissenberger American Legion Post 587 for over 40 years. His memberships also included Brainard Masonic Lodge, Fremont, OH; Zenobia Shrine and Temple Guard, Toledo. Gene bowled many years with the Shrine Bowling League as well as the High 12 Bowling League. He also served as past president of the High 12 Golf League. Surviving are his loving wife, Marjorie Jean Myers; daughter, Linda J. Phil Nielsen of Simi Valley, CA and step-grandchildren, Nicole and Kevin. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
