Charles Hulick Maps III, age 69 of Toledo, Ohio, died on Friday, April 8, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born on April 20, 1946 in Long Branch, New Jersey to Charles Hulick Maps Jr. and Katherine Coughlan Maps. Charlie graduated from Long Branch High School in 1964 where he was active in the concert and marching bands. After graduation, he moved to Toledo to attend the University of Toledo. Charlie loved tinkering with his electronics and listening to all types of music, especially Jazz. He also enjoyed his furry companions, dog, Pandora and cat, Mona. He is survived by his wife, Betsy; son, Sam (Angel Pringle); sister, Linda Dart; brother, Michael Maps (Vivian); sister, Joan Maps Ducore (Danny); brother, Jonathan Maps; uncle and aunt, Sherman and Reggie Maps, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and best friends, Tom and Marcy Latham. In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his aunt, Eleanor Harris. Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
