Charles Lane Holland

Charles Lane Holland, 81, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away on November 11, 2014 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 26, 1932 in Murray, Kentucky to John and Carol (Walker) Holland. He married Mae Evelyn Corwin on August 18, 2007 in Wilmont, Ohio. Chuck proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as an engineer for Chrysler for over 38 years before retiring in 1989. Chuck was a member of Echo Meadows Church of Christ. He was an avid car enthusiast and he enjoyed trips to Amish country. Chuck is survived by his loving wife, Mae Evelyn Holland; children, Chuck (Vicki) Holland, Denise Johnson and Richard (Donna) Holland; step children, David (Jeneice) Corwin, Michele Blake and Mary Kaye Corwin; grandchildren, Corey, Brooke, Nikki and Tara; step grandchildren, Daniel, Michael, Taylor, Delmicca, and Levi; great-grandchildren, Emily, Catherine and Eleanor; siblings, Charlotte (Alton) Hughes, Gerald Holland, Billy (Jan) Holland and Larry Holland and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Helen Holland and brother, Carl Holland. Friends will be received on Friday, November 14, 2014 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary St. Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) where funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:30 P.M. Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Echo Meadows Church of Christ.
