Charles W. Bill Kretz

Charles Bill W. Kretz, 83, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away, Tuesday evening, January 10, 2017 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on August 29, 1933 in Holland, OH to Louis and Florence (Westhoven) Kretz. On December 12, 1959 in Port Clinton, OH he married Dorothy Kay Kelly and she survives. Bill served in the U.S. Army. He worked as an assembler for Jeep/Chrysler in Toledo for 38 years before retiring. Bill was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge and played on the dart ball team. He also enjoyed woodworking and Western style square dancing with his wife. In addition to his loving wife, Kay, of 57 years, Bill is survived by his son, Keith Kretz, daughters, Kim (Loren) Bryant and Kelly (Brian) Warnke, grandchildren, Philip Bryant, Erin Bryant, Rachel Kretz, Joshua Warnke, Justin Warnke, and Nathan Warnke. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ethlyn Sis Derkis, brothers, Louis and John Kretz, and daughter-in-law, Patricia (Lorensen) Kretz. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Holli Burkard at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge. Interment will be in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be given to the Organ Fund at St. John Lutheran Church, Rocky Ridge or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
