Charles L. Kline

Charles L. Kline age 76 of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away peacefully on December 13, 2007 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Charlie was born on October 5, 1931 in Toledo to Charles E. and Florence L. Kline who preceded him. He was a 1949 graduate of DeVilbiss High School. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Yvonne L. Hoodlet whom he married on April 16, 1955. Charlie served our country in the United States Army in Korea from 1951-1953. Upon his discharge in 1953, he spent his career at the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1986 after 31 years of service. He continued to work for 14 years at Syncor International, Inc. retiring in 2003. He was a member of VFW Post 606, American Legion Post 384 and the Telephone Pioneers. Charlie enjoyed bowling, was an avid fisherman, a self-taught locksmith, a sports enthusiast and an Ohio State Buckeye fan. In addition to his wife Yvonne, Charlie is survived by his son, Charles J. Kline, and daughters, Susan L. Kline, Sharon L. Kenneth Swartz and Christina M. Tony Cici. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren whom he affectionately referred to as his own football team; Jeffery, Adam, Zachary, Aaron, Nathan and Jacob; and great grandchildren, Bryce and Abbigail. Also surviving are his brother, William Marilyn Kline and sister, Shirley Pereus. Nieces and nephews also survive. Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 15 from 2-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee where funeral services will be held on Monday December 17 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Beaudoin officiating. THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION ON SUNDAY. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Charlie
