Charles Norman Hunt

Charles Norman Hunt, attorney with offices in Sylvania and Metamora, passed away quite suddenly on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Parkcliffe Memory Care Community. He was born in Toledo, but grew up in Delta. In high school he lettered in football, basketball, and track. In his spare time, he played in the band and orchestra. He proudly went to the Ohio State University, where he earned degrees in accounting (1954) and law (1958). He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi. He was a devoted member and past president of Sylvania Rotary, where he worked many pancake dinners. He was Past President of Sylvania Chamber of Commerce. For many years, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Metamora State Bank and served one year as president. He was Past President and member of the Board of Trustees of Olander Park, and a golfing member of Sylvania Country Club since 1981. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Janis; children, Lisa (Joel) Bender and Jeff (Chris) Hunt; grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Bender, Erin (Brian) Ransom, Will Hunt, and Sarah Hunt; great-grandchildren, Owen and Landon Ransom; step-children, Jim, Doug, Nancy, and Joel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ted Hunt. Friend and Family will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 P.M. with the Funeral Ceremony on Tuesday, July 17 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
