Charles Robert Holtfreter

Charles Robert Holtfreter, 77, of Toledo, died July 12, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania with loving family by his side. He was born May 10, 1938 in Toledo to the late Clarence Carl and Reatha (Kynard) Holtfreter and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Charles retired as a job setter following many years of service with Hydromatic. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Delores (Law) Holtfreter; beloved children, Reatha Harrison (Steve), Deborah Jablonski (Raymond) and Robert Holtfreter; five grandchildren, Amanda and Joseph (Whitney) Jablonski, Nicole and Megan Holtfreter and Lucas Harrison; sisters, Marilyn Hughes (Don) and Patricia Colter (William); and numerous extended family and friends. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Virginia and Clarence Holtfreter. Services will be private. From the family: Barton Lake folks, (you know who you are), you are family to us. Please find comfort that Charlie is in Heaven. We wish to thank the doctors and nurses who provided special care for him at Toledo Hospital and Ebeid Hospice. Your kindness was so much more than we could have hoped for during this difficult time. We know we were touched by Angels. Memorials are suggested in Charles name to Ebeid Hospice or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
