Charles E. Hohly, Jr.

Charles E. Hohly, Jr., age 57, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011. He was born on February 17, 1954 to Charles E. Hohly, Sr. and Lois Ruth Kossow Hohly. He married Anne F. Walasinski on May 12, 2007 at Augsburg Lutheran Church. Charlie was employed by American Heating and Cooling for 17 years. He was previously employed by Envirosafe for several years and also worked at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Temperance in maintenance. Charlie was a member of Augsburg Lutheran Church. He was an animal lover who had a deep sensitivity for creation and nature. He loved to bird watch and he had his own butterfly garden. Charlie was soft-spoken, kind, caring, detail-orientated, thoughtful, and most of all he will be remembered as a devoted husband. Charlie will be remembered by his loving family including his wife, Anne and his father, Charles; brother, Keith Debra; brothers-in-law, Tim Nan Walasinski and William Marie Walasinski; sister-in-law, Mary Phil Barger; nephews, Benjamin Hohly, Andy Taylor Barger, and Jonathan Walasinski; nieces, Bethany Hohly, Danielle Hohly, Emily Patrick Nusbaum and Abby Dan Beauch Barger and great-niece, Avery Rose Nusbaum. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois and stepmother, Barbara. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2- 8 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. where services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am with his brother, Rev. Keith Hohly officiating. Interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
