Charles Guthrie, age 75, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on November 21, 2025, at Admiral Pointe in Huron, Ohio. He was born on August 21, 1950, to Julius and Pauline (Smith) Guthrie in Kenvir, Kentucky. He married Carol Podgurski on December 1, 1972. He attended Danbury High School. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from Celotex in 2001.

Chuck was an avid University of Kentucky basketball, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Tigers, and Michigan football fan.

He is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter, Catrina Guthrie, grandchildren, Connor and Arabella Helle, sisters, Sue Guthrie, Mary (Joe) Isbell, Martha (Tom) Hammock, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenda Dusseau.

Chuck’s family would like to specially thank Fr. John Missler, Sandusky V.A. (Team 4 and Margie), Elara Caring (Brandi and Amber), Admiral Pointe nurses and staff, and Southern Care Hospice for their support.

Cremation has taken place per Chuck’s wishes.

Memorial donations may be made to any humane society, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, or an organization of the donor’s choice.
