Charles David Skaggs

Charles David Skaggs, 70, of Lorain, OH passed on to eternal life, Friday, January 06, 2017 in Cleveland, OH. David was born on May 14, 1946 in Cleveland, OH to Ora David Skaggs and Ruby Juanita Lucas Skaggs. Charles was the owner/operator of Skaggs Heating Cooling Co. in Lorain until he retired in 2000. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a lover of animals, an avid hunter and fisherman, and a David will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Nancy Elinda (Welch) Skaggs; his father, Ora David Skaggs; children, Ora David (Heather) Skaggs II, Dawn (Bob) Mollohan, Kevin Wisegiver, Jason Skaggs, Devona Skaggs-Roberts, Devalon (Chris) Kyle. David and Nancy have 21 grandchildren. Charles siblings include Ora Lane (Robert) Hays, Jack (June) Skaggs, Georgetta Redrup, Judith Dusseau, Ronald Skaggs and Donald (Dawn) Skaggs. Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Lucas Skaggs, and his step-mother Phyllis Skaggs, brothers, Edward and Tommy Skaggs and sister, Linda Lou Skaggs. Private family viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 10th from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa, Ohio. Following the private viewing, all are welcome to come join in the love, peace, and fellowship of remembering Charles for the man we were honored to know at the American Legion Hall in Genoa, where his family will be hosting a Life Celebration. Burial will be in Mawk Cemetery, Vanceburg, Kentucky, on Friday January 13, 2017. Per his wish, he will be laid to rest nearby four other generations of Skaggs family members.
