Charles Cromly, 92, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday December 1, 2013 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. He was born on July 10, 1921 in Defiance, Ohio to Tullos and BeulahKonst Cromly. Charles attended a one room elementary school in Defiance County and later graduated from Defiance High School. While attending the University of Toledo in 1942, Charles enlisted in the United States Navy. He would proudly serve in both WWII and the Korean War. In 1944 he returned to the states and attended mid-shipman school at Harvard and Norte Dame. After the war, Charles graduated from the University of Toledo School of Pharmacy in 1948. He went into partnership with Lou Elmer in a drug store at Wayne and Fearing, where he would later become the owner. Charles owned and operated Cromly Pharmacy for nearly thirty years. Charles is survived by his loving wife, Florence June, sons, Michael Linda, John Noreen, and Mark Karen, daughter, Elizabeth, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, brother, Donald Pauline, and sisters, JoAnne Sam Lehman and Joyce Kevin Kane, and sister-in-law, Virginia Gilsdorf. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Betty and Doris Jean. Visitation will be on Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. Funeral services will be on Thursday December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Maumee United Methodist Church, Maumee, Ohio with additional visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
