Charles R. Creech

September 5, 1941 — May 31, 2026

Charles R. Creech, 84 passed away at Kingston Sylvania surrounded by his loving family on May 31, 2026.

Charlie was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Nancy, who was his companion and partner for 25 wonderful years. Together they shared a love of travel to many places, cherished time at their condo on Ft. Myers Beach and proudly supported their alma mater, The University of Toledo.

Charlie went to Harvard Elementary School, Macomber High School and the University of Toledo. After graduating from Toledo in Engineering in 1965 with a degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, he worked at Goodyear in Akron, Champion Spark Plug in Toledo, Glassline in Toledo, and lanua of the Americas.

There was no greater joy and responsibility for Charlie than his family. He was a deeply dedicated Father to his four children and two step children, and "Papa" to his 14 grandchildren, and his two great grandchildren. He and Nancy took great pride in creating college savings plans for each of their grandchildren with the goal of having them graduate college debt-free.

Charlie loved supporting University of Toledo athletics and UTMC research in which he and Nancy were avid donors. Charlie had a lifelong passion for sports, a love that brought him closer to family and friends and created a lasting legacy. Just as memorable was his remarkable gift for storytelling-he had a way of entertaining people with the stories and jokes he had lived or collected throughout his life, always trying his best to deliver with warmth, humor, and timing. He played golf at Highland Meadows Golf Club and kept himself busy with season tickets to all Rocket sports. He loved attending Downtown Coaches luncheons, men's and women's Basketball practices and games, Bridge at the club, and especially his Wednesday morning breakfasts with "the guys". He will be remembered for his fierce love and loyalty of family and friends and the laughter he so freely shared.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Nancy, his children, Todd Creech (Heather Roberto), Amy Sigman (Todd), Ryan Creech (Kelly), and Dan Creech (Amanda); his step children, Cristin Heintschel (Joel), and Cathy Vail. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Josh (Sam), Hannah (Derek), Lucy, Grace, Emma, Tanner, Mia, Ty, Zak, Caden, Macy, Molly, Hudson and Cody and his two great grandchildren, Jackson and Callie. In addition, surviving are his sister Linda Seyfried (Charles) and his brother Tom Creech (Jeannie). He was predeceased by his parents Ray and Helen Creech.
