Charles Carlton Cook

Jul 3, 1956 — Oct 23, 2026

Charles "Chuck" Cook, 70, passed away on October 23, 2026, at Otterbein Nursing Facility in Marblehead, Ohio. Born on July 3, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, Chuck lived a life filled with simple pleasures, family, and the things he loved most.

Chuck graduated from Coral Gables High School in Miami, Florida. Following in the footsteps of his grandparents, he made his way to Port Clinton, Ohio, where he began a lifelong career at US Gypsum.

A simple man at heart, Chuck was happiest doing what he loved. He enjoyed spending time on his boat fishing, shooting pool, and having a Busch Lite. Some of his fondest memories were made saltwater fishing in Florida with his father when he was younger. A diehard Ohio State football fan, Chuck proudly cheered on the Buckeyes. He also loved playing the game Thug Life, a pastime that brought him enjoyment.

He loved gathering together for Thanksgiving, when family, food, and time spent with the people he loved made the holiday meaningful.

Chuck is survived by his mother, Sandra Cook; his five siblings; his two children; his three grandchildren; and his soulmate, Valerie Seaver. He was preceded in death by his father, C. Joe Cook, and his grandparents, Claude Carlton and Helen Cook.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at a date to be determined in 2027. Details will be announced at a later time.
