Charles "Chuck" Edward Martinez

Charles “Chuck” Edward Martinez was born in Toledo on November 11, 1968, to Sally Martinez Salazar. On Friday, July 26, 2024, he transitioned to be with the Lord his God. He was associated with The Church on Strayer in Maumee. Faith was important to him and leaned on God throughout his life. Chuck worked as a top chef at the Crown Plaza. He cooked with passion and friends and family all over enjoyed his skill through the food he prepared.

He married his wife of 8 years, Christina Jaime Flores, and she fondly called him baby. He enjoyed dancing, listening to music, especially to Selena, and being with family and friends. He had a deep sense of humor and loved acting goofy to make everyone smile and laugh. Those memories will always be cherished.

Chuck loved sports. His favorite teams were the Astros, Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Browns. He would enjoy watching the games cheering for his teams.

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandmother, Amelia Martinez, stepfather, Pedro Salazar. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Martinez; mother, Sally Salazar; wife, Christina Jaime Martinez; aunts, Sue Gonzales-Guevara, Rita Peralta, and Virginia Saldivar; uncle, Ruben Gonzales; stepchildren; grandchildren, Greyson, Yusef, and Zayn; and his dog, Baby girl Chula.

Friends will be received at Walker Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave, Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Officiating: The Church on Strayer Outreach Ministry-Ruben Gonzales. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg.
