Charles Robert Campbell, age 71, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the University of Toledo Medical Center. Charles was born October 31, 1947 in Ferguson, MO to Robert and Minnie Earline Campbell. He was a graduate of Lutheran North High School in St. Louis, MO and attended Florissant Valley Community College. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in the Vietnam War, during which he spent a year in Thailand. Although a truck driver by trade, Charles was also a talented baker and cake decorator. He even made his sons wedding cakes from scratch. He was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel and enjoyed sharing his love of Christ with others. Charles greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Charles in survived by his sons, Jerry (Tisha), Ben (Amber) and Don (Wendy) Campbell; grandchildren, Irene (Jeremy) Curlis, Chelsea Campbell, Andrew (Miranda) McClain, Skyler (Jamal) Middlebrooks, Madison Campbell, and Mackenzie Campbell; five great-grandchildren; brother, Ed (Lee) Butz; and sisters, Suzette (Wayne) Brewer and Mary Campbell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Campbell; parents; brothers, Rex and Michael Campbell; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where services will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charles Campbell Memorial Fund at Fifth-Third Bank.
